spaceweather.com says: “Sky watchers, be alert for auroras. A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth today at approximately 1400 UT, and the impact may cause strong geomagnetic storms.”
In other words, the sun belched at us and the sky may well be dramatic with Northern Lights once it gets dark out. Have those cameras ready!
