Join me to discuss the state of crowdfunding your movie projects at the 2012 Flyway Film Festival this weekend, on Saturday, October 20th. I’ll be joined by Slamdance co-founder Paul Rachman and consulting filmmaker Lucas McNelly.
Armed with the data from our own multiple successful campaigns, as well as the data from hundreds of others, we’ll break down how to plan, launch, run and wrap-up your next creative fundraiser. Find out what days have the most impact, what reward levels are most productive, what really gets things moving and what to avoid at all costs. You’ll also learn about how things change the 2nd or 3rd time around, how big to go, and how the new guidelines may affect your art.
The discussion takes place Saturday, October 20th at the Breakwater Bar (1st and Main) in Pepin, WI at 1:00pm and is a free event. This will be an invaluable session full of insights and useful data. First come, first serve.
Stick around afterwards for some great films!

And if you can’t make it to the festival, then check out the podcast I did with The Geek Girls Guide on kickstarter. Free audio session. (Disclosure: One of the geek girls is my wife).
